GRAND FORKS, ND (May 6) - The S&S Transport, Inc #12S team loaded up and headed to their home track of River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on last Friday night. Despite a lower car count than usual in the Late Model division at the bullring, all the big names and fan favorites were in attendance, including 3-time track champion Brad Seng. Brad lined up on the outside of pole-sitter Tom Corcoran for heat number two. In less than one trip around the 3/10th mile oval, Seng stole the lead and cruised to the checkered ahead of Canadian racer, Shane Edginton. Seng’s win in his heat placed him sixth in the 20-lap Up North Financial main event. Seng started outside the third row, next to fellow Grand Forks driver, Steve Anderson. After the first lap, Brad moved by Anderson, while Joey Pederson simultaneously found his way around Seng. The battle didn’t end there, however, as Brad fought back and would chase Pederson for the duration of the feature. On lap five the Anderson Brothers Body Shop machine was able to work past Brandon Fuller’s #F9 to slide into the fifth position. The lone caution flew with seven laps left, which gave Seng new life as the field was a lined in side-by-side formation for the restart. Seng was able to challenge Pederson for fourth, but Pederson proved to be just a tad quicker. Seng finished the race rounding out the top five in a field on what was a fast and tacky racing surface. The Valley Oral team will return to the high banks of River Cities Speedway this Friday night in search of that elusive first win of 2016.
