By Spieker Promotions GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 30, 2019) – The 2019 NLRA season is winding down and the points race is heating up. Brad Seng claimed the NLRA point lead after the series event at Sheyenne Speedway in Lisbon, N.D. on August 18th, but lost it last Saturday night after a sixth place finish at Greenbush Race Park. The NLRA Late Models will head to Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minn. for the annual Labor Day doubleheader at the high-banked half-mile. Seng enters the weekend just eight points heading leader Shane Edington.
However, there is a third horse in the race in the form of defending series champion, Dustin Strand. Strand currently sits 12 points behind Seng. Including the two upcoming events at Viking, just three NLRA races remain. The season wraps up on Thursday, September 5th at River Cities Speedway. Seng was in action last Friday night at I-94 Speedway in Fergus Falls, Minn. for the Dick Johanneck Memorial. Out of the 43 Late Models in attendance, Seng finished ninth in the A-main. Seng’s big weekend of racing kicks off tonight at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. Seng is currently the RCS Late Model point leader. He has an eight point cushion over Shane Edginton coming into tonight.
