Brad Seng Visits Victory Lane at Greenbush! By Mike Spieker GREENBUSH, MN (August 2) - Last weekend Brad Seng and the Bergstrom Electric team were back in action with a Friday-Saturday double header. Saturday night was the highlight of the weekend as Brad picked up win number five of the season at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN. After picking up his 14th heat race win of the season, Brad started outside of the front row with Cole Schill to his inside. When the NLRA Late Models last visited Greenbush in mid-June, the starting lineup saw the same front row with Schill taking the checkers and Seng finishing second at the end of the 25-lapper and.
Things would be different this go-round, however. As the green flag flew, Seng used the cushion to grab the early lead. Once out front Brad built up a comfortable lead, but things got tight in lapped traffic as Schill and Dustin Strand closed in. A caution with five laps to go put the quick duo right on the rear bumper of the Valley Oral #12S, but Seng was able to pull away on the restart. “I thought I had a pretty good car, but you never know,” said Brad of the final restart. “Then I heard that the 44 and 71 were right behind me so I thought, ‘Oh no, where are they running?’ So I basically just ran scared from there.” With clean track ahead, Brad was able to cruise to his third career NLRA win at Greenbush. “It’s been awhile [since we’ve won],” continued Brad. “We’ve been getting second and third a lot lately and it’s been to a different guy each time. It’s nice to get the win and hopefully we can get on a little roll now.” The previous night the team competed at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the Premier Racing Series. Once again Brad started the evening by picking up the heat race win, which placed him third on the starting grid for the 20-lap main event. After sliding into second on lap two, Brad was relegated back to third on lap six, which is where would go on to take the checkers. Brad currently holds a 44 point advantage over Shane Edginton in the NLRA standings heading into the series’ next event on August 13th at Jamestown Speedway.
