GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 28, 2018) - This past weekend, Brad Seng and the S&S Transport team found themselves at two racetracks in two different states. Friday evening brought the team to River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D. and Saturday to Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, Minn.
Friday night started on a high note when Seng won his heat. That put him on the pole for the 20-lap feature. To his outside sat 2016 Wissota Late Model national champion, Dustin Strand.
At the drop of the green flag, Seng dropped back to second and by lap two Brad would settle into third and ride comfortably there for the remainder of the race. The third place run marked his eighth consecutive top-five finish at River Cities.
Saturday afternoon the MB Customs No. 12S loaded up and headed to Greenbush Race Park with the NLRA Late Models. The most recent visit to the speedway was July 28th, where Brad finished second after starting fourth on the starting grid. After winning his heat race, Seng lined up on the pole for the feature race with fellow veteran, Mike Balcaen, to his outside.
Brad settled into the second position while Balcaen took the lead at the line. Seng stayed in second until lap 11, when the hard-charging Bill Mooney and Shane Edginton moved by the No. 12S on the restart. On lap 19, Seng battled for position with Strand once again, but found himself behind Steffan Snare. Brad finished with a top 10 run, finishing eighth in a hard fought race.
Seng currently sits second in the NLRA points, 16 markers behind Strand. In the River Cities Speedway track points, Seng is third, 30 points behind Strand.
This weekend, Seng will return to River Cities Speedway Friday night, followed by a NLRA double header at Viking Speedway in Alexandria, Minn.
