By Spieker Promotions GRAND FORKS, N.D. (July 1, 2021) – Brad Seng continued his quest for a fifth NLRA series championship last week, scoring a pair of top tens to remain within ten points of the top spot in the standings. Seng kicked off the week on Thursday night at the Norman County Raceway in Ada, MN with a run from fourth to second in his heat race, which earned him a spot in the feature redraw. Starting third in the 25 lap main event, Seng slipped back to fourth early, but moved back to third on the eighth lap. With ten laps to go, Seng moved into the runner-up spot, setting his sights on point leader Mike Greseth for the lead. Seng ran out of time, however, finishing with a second place run. Seng and the 12S team headed west on Saturday for the 3rd Annual Golden Hammer Classic at the Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND. A poor draw buried Seng deep in the field in the heat race, though he was able to climb from seventh to fifth. Starting 20th in what proved to be the final feature of the weekend due to the rain out at River Cities on Sunday, Seng spent the entire first half of the 25 lap race working his way into the top ten. In the final eight laps, Seng accomplished the feat, while continuing to move forward. Seng fought for the final spot inside the top five late in the race, but came home in the seventh spot. Seng will run at River Cities again this Friday night, as the track hosts their annual Midseason Championships. 2021 Stats: Races: 13 Wins: 0 Top Fives: 6 Top Tens: 11
