By Spieker Promotions GRAND FORKS, N.D. (September 8, 2021) – The biggest Late Model race of the year takes the stage at River Cities Speedway this weekend with the 15th running of the John Seitz Memorial. Brad Seng is peaking at the right time of the season with regular season weekly racing in the books and fall specials upcoming. The four-time NLRA series champion has picked up a pair of podium finishes in his last three starts and hasn’t finished outside of the top 10 since July 31st. Despite a lone victory on July 30th at River Cities, Seng has been no stranger to the front of the field, picking up five runner-up finishes to date. Seng had just one race on the schedule over Labor Day weekend. After starting on the pole and fading to fourth in his heat, Seng had to get his elbows up starting 11th on the grid for the 20-lap feature. Seng did just that. The driver of the S&S Transport / Schill Construction No. 12S wheeled his way from row six to contending for the win late in the race. A restart with five to go put Seng right on the rear bumper of leader Dustin Strand in a shootout to the finish. A great restart by Strand meant Seng had to settle for second, but Seng’s charge to the front put him as the night’s hard charger. The John Seitz Memorial kicks off Thursday with the NLRA season championship. Qualifying for Saturday’s $9,200-to-win main event starts Friday with heat races and the Go Hard or Go Home Pole Dash. 2021 Stats: Races: 27 Wins: 1 Top Fives: 14 Top Tens: 23
