GRAND FORKS, ND (September 6) - After a long, grueling 17-race schedule, the NLRA Late Model season championship comes down to the final race between a pair of two-time champions. Brad Seng holds an 18 point advantage over Dustin Strand heading into Thursday night’s season finale at River Cities Speedway.
Seng has maintained his point lead, which he established at Norman County Raceway on June 23rd, with solid, consistent finishes. The driver of the S&S Transport/MB Customs hasn’t finished outside of the top 10 this season when running at the end of the feature.

Thursday’s NLRA season championship/Prelude to the Johnny will kick off the first of three consecutive nights of racing at River Cities Speedway with the running of the 10th Annual John Seitz Memorial, presented by Simplot. Brad comes in as the only two-time champion of the Seitz Memorial with wins in 2013 and 2011.

Last weekend Brad and the Forks Freightliner crew endured a three race weekend, beginning Friday night at River Cities Speedway. After winning his heat, Brad started outside of the front row for the 20-lap feature. Brad ran in second behind Dustin Strand for the majority of the race while he, Joey Pederson, Mike Balcaen, and Bill Mooney all fought for positions two through five. Balcaen got by Brad on the final lap, relegating the #12S to a fourth place finish.

Saturday and Sunday brought the crew to Viking Speedway in Alexandria, MN for a pair of NLRA tour events. On Saturday Brad started the night with a second place run in his heat and backed that up with a third place finish in the feature after starting fifth.

Sunday evening was a carbon copy of the previous night. Once again Brad finish second in his heat, this time from the sixth starting spot, before racing from fifth to third in the feature and scoring his 27th top five of the season.
