GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 28, 2023) - With the season winding down, Brad Seng, driver of the No. 12S S&S Transport / Anderson Brothers Body Shop MB Custom, closed the 2023 season of Late Model action at Devils Lake Speedway with another podium finish, rebounding after a DNF on Friday night at River Cities Speedway put a serious dent in his hopes for a fourth points championship at the Bullring. Friday night at River Cities saw Seng score another second-place run in a heat race, setting up another starting spot in the fourth row in the 25-lap main event as the Late Models ran alongside the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.
Seng had made up three spots in the opening seven laps of the race when he was forced to retire from the race on lap eight. Seng piloted Ryan Corbett's No. C4 at Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday where a heat win set up a start on the inside of the third row in the 25-lap main event. Seng remained fifth until the midway point when he passed Steve Anderson for fourth. With five laps left, Seng made another late pass on Brody Troftgruben and went on to finish third. The DNF for Seng on Friday night turned a 10-point lead into a 35-point deficit in the chase for the points title at River Cities. Seng will, however, bring a 20-point lead over two-time and defending NLRA champion Mike Greseth into the Labor Day double-header at Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, MN as he tries to secure his fifth series championship. 2023 Stats: Races: 28 Wins: 3 Top 5’s: 20 Top 10’s: 22
