GRAND FORKS, N.D. (August 7, 2023) - Following another podium finish Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, Brad Seng won his third main event of the season during weekly competition at Devils Lake Speedway near Doyon, ND last Saturday night. Seng's win in the No. 12S S&S Transport / MV Collette Farms MB Custom, is the eighth of his career at the third-mile oval since his first win at the speedway in 2003. Following a heat race victory, Seng started the 20-lap main event Friday during Hall-of-Fame night at River Cities on the inside of the fourth row. Seng ran just outside the top five throughout the first half of the race which was slowed by four cautions.
Another caution with eight to go saw Seng move into the five for the first time, though Mitch Johnson took the spot in the laps that followed. Two more cautions later, Seng made his biggest move of the race. Having got past Johnson before the most recent yellow, Seng passed Tom Corcoran and early leader Brandon Fuller to move into third. Seng pulled even with Dustin Strand following the final caution in a bid for the runner-up position but ended the race with a third-place finish. Seng headed back to Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday night, winning his heat race and earning the pole position for the 20-lap main event. Seng held off fellow front row starter Cole Schill to lead the opening lap. Seng caught the rear of the field at the midway point but a caution the following lap spared him from having to work lapped traffic. Seng led the field back to green and re-built a straightaway advantage within the first two laps following the caution. A single lapped car allowed Schill to eat into Seng's advantage briefly, but Seng cleared the slower car the following lap and continued on for his eighth career Devils Lake victory. 2023 Stats: Races: 22 Wins: 3 Top 5’s: 15 Top 10’s: 17
